Retour sur notre repechage 2021. Quand meme tres satisfait de nos selections malgré le peux de temps pour faire des recherches. Nous sommes donc fier de vous les présenter....

Choix de 1er tour #13: MATT CORONATO

Image
A New York native, Coronato is having a huge season for the Chicago Steel of the USHL as a first-year draft eligible. His 24 goals and 27 assists in just 28 games are good enough for second in league scoring, just behind teammate and Montreal Canadiens prospect Sean Farrell. That kind of production is tough to ignore, even if Coronato is one of the older players in his draft class. Already dominating in the USHL, he will be looking to make an impact in the NCAA next season when he begins his collegiate career at Harvard University.

Choix de 2e tour #61: JACK PEART

Image
Peart is a strong skater who puts his quick feet to use to generate speed through crossovers. He defends well, using his stick and body positioning to keep attackers at bay while scanning for threats in the defensive zone. Peart is adept at keeping the play to the outside and cutting off lanes in the middle of his own zone. He is strong on puck retrievals, utilizing shoulder checks to identify his options on the breakout before hitting a teammate with a quick and accurate feed. There is a lot to like about Peart’s game and he has all the makings of a modern-day, two-way defender in the NHL

Choix 3e tour # 77: TRISTAN LENNOX

Image
Lennox didn’t have great numbers across 33 games with Saginaw in 2019-2020 but he was stellar for Canada at the Hlinka Gretzky Cup, putting up a 0.95 goals against average and a .951 save percentage in three games. He made a push for a spot on the Canadian World Junior squad but ultimately fell short and with the OHL on an indefinite hiatus, he has yet to play any meaningful games in his draft year. Lennox is good puck handling goalie and has the ability to move freely in and out of his crease to assist his defenders by stopping dump ins and making good outlet passes. He has some technical things to clean up, and goaltenders are rarely sure bets, but his combination of size, athleticism, and competitiveness should make him one of the first few goaltenders to have their name called at the 2021 NHL draft

Choix 3e tour #84: BRETT HARRISON

Image
Harrison finds a way onto the scoresheet consistently, even when he’s not having his best night. His ability to adapt to his teammates is valuable and he provides solid two-way play while possessing a good shot.

Choix 3e tour #88: ANTON OLSSON

Image
Olsson is a mobile defender, combining good speed and lateral agility to effectively close on puck carriers in the defensive zone. He is proficient in puck battles along the boards, using his feet and body positioning to free up contested pucks and protect them from opposing forecheckers before chipping them to a teammate. Olsson can play a tight gap in the neutral zone, leads with his stick when attacking, and has the skating ability to quickly get back into the play if he is beaten or caught out of position. His mobility also allows him to retrieve pucks from dangerous areas and skate himself out of trouble before finding a release valve. He has decent size for his age and is willing to engage physically but can still be overmatched at times.

Choix 4e tour #109: JAKE CHIASSON

Image
Even though he played in 23 games, Brandon Wheat Kings right wing Jake Chiasson is definitely an interesting prospect in this year’s draft. Only in his sophomore season, he managed to up his offensive output, as he was one of six players with 20 points during the shortened Western Hockey League season.
